Our Mission

To empower and equip people to live healthy lives through physical therapy.

Nothing gets us more excited than seeing people live purposeful lives. In order to do this effectively, we believe prioritizing your health is crucial. This includes physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional health. At Forward Physical Therapy, we would love to partner with you in improving your health so you can live out your purpose to the best of your ability.

Our Philosophies

1. Person-Centered Care

When we say “partner with you,” we mean it.

The most effective healthcare is done in a collaborative environment where the provider and patient work together to achieve their goals. If anyone tells you, “You must do these three things in order to get results, and if you try anything else, you won’t.” They’re lying to you.

There is no one right intervention for musculoskeletal conditions. Instead, factors like exercise, nutrition, sleep, mental health, stress, biological factors, beliefs, and expectations can make or break a successful rehab program.

That’s why our role is to filter through the noise, present the best possible options to help you achieve your goals, and work together to identify which options will work best for you.

2. Evidence-Informed Care

Providing care that’s consistent with best evidence is a foundational element to patient success. In fact, studies show that if care is provided according to the best evidence, the likelihood of a successful outcome increases by over 30%. (Fritz, 2007) Beyond the science, the remaining two components of evidence-informed care include clinical expertise and patient expectations.

At Forward, you will be receiving care from orthopedic residency trained clinicians. Completing a residency includes intensive mentorship and additional education that allows for early specialization. We are excited to bring our expertise into your care. Arguably, the most important component of evidence-informed care is patient expectations. That’s why we take a person-centered approach to care.

3. Movement Optimism

Unfortunately, most of us were raised hearing messages from medical providers saying, “your body is fragile” or “your disc is like a jelly donut” or “your pelvis is out of alignment” or “don’t do that movement because it’s harmful”, or, a personal favorite, “arthritis is kind of like a cheese grater every time you move your knee.”

All of these fear mongering messages are completely inaccurate and have no solid backing. Your body was designed with significant resilience, and is capable of much more than you think. Movement is good. Your body is strong and resilient. Allow us to prove that to you.
